    What is an “anchor industry”?
    Anchor industries are community-owned businesses that create jobs, income, and resilience—so prosperity stays local. Examples include clean water systems, agricultural co-ops, and renewable energy enterprises.
    How are projects selected?
    Local communities decide what industries to build, with guidance from experienced partners and funding supporters. We help co-create plans that fit each community’s needs and strengths.
    How is GlobalVillages different from a charity?
    We don’t provide handouts. We help communities design and launch enterprises they own. Our goal is to work ourselves out of a job by building sustainable prosperity.
